GRIDMAT Products are supplied on pallets and is typically delivered using a tail lift vehicle and pallet truck. Depending on your location and order size, deliveries may be carried out by our own vehicles, a pallet network, or a third-party haulage company.

Please note that deliveries are made to the kerbside only. Pallet trucks require a firm, level surface and are not suitable for gravel, grass, steep slopes, or uneven ground. Where access is restricted or unsuitable for larger vehicles, the pallet will be delivered to the nearest safe and accessible location.

1.  Excavation: Perform the necessary excavation works, removing topsoil down to the load-bearing capacity.

2.  Edging: Install borders around the edges.

3.  Sub-base: Lay a stone sub-base at a depth of 250mm. Work in layers and compact each layer with a wacker plate.

4.  Levelling Layer: Lay a levelling layer around 25mm deep and compact it. You can use fine blinding, 6mm limestone chip, or sharp sand. Ensure this layer is perfectly level so the grids sit flat.

5.  Depths: The sub-base and levelling layer combined should sit 50/55mm below your finished height. This allows for the 30mm grid and a 20/25mm gravel covering on top.

6.  Laying the Grids: Start in a square corner if possible. The grids interlock and we recommend laying them in a half- bond pattern. They can be easily cut to size with a grinder.

7.  Gravel: The grid handles gravel up to 20mm, though 14mm is ideal for walking and driving on. Ensure the gravel you choose is suitable for driveways.

8.  Finishing: Once the gravel is filled, run the wacker plate over the top to settle it into place.

Damaged or Faulty Items If your product is damaged during delivery or is faulty upon arrival, please: • Notify us within 48 hours of receiving your order. • Provide photographs showing the damage or fault. • Do not dispose of the product until we have assessed your claim. Once your claim has been approved, we will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost.

Change of Mind If you wish to cancel your order under your statutory rights, please contact us within the applicable cancellation period. ( 14 days ) Returned items must be: • Unused and in their original condition. • Returned in the original packaging where possible. The buyer is responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty, damaged, or sent in error.

Non-Returnable Items We reserve the right to refuse a refund or apply a deduction if returned goods have been used, installed, altered, or are not returned in a resaleable condition, except where your statutory consumer rights apply.
